In every generation false teachers rise up within the church and teach a false gospel which has the appearance of religion but really is a counterfeit message designed to accumulate a following which they can boast in. Paul warns the church against these false teachers by exposing their motives and magnifying the cross for its power to crucify us to the world and make us new creatures in Christ. These concluding words of Paul continue to provide us with an effective tool to evaluate what men preach in the name of Christ and warn us to accept no counterfeit gospel in the place of the gospel of the cross.
Galatians 6:11-18
