Psalm 119 argues that the Christian must store God’s Word in his heart. Part and parcel of this argument is the necessity to meditate on God’s Word. To meditate on God’s Word or to think theologically is very countercultural in our present age. Nevertheless, it must be done in order to combat the influences of the world, the flesh and the devil.
