When God created He built order into the creation. A consequence of the fall
is the partial loss of this original order. As Christians realize that their
work has value in God’s eyes, they are able to recover the meaning and
significance of work. A biblical view of work involves seeing one’s labor as
that which helps to restore the society of men, as John Calvin put it.
