If you were wondering how an educated Arminian would read Romans chapter nine in a way contrary to how we have, here’s your answer (at least the first part of it). The authors make spotty references to this or that phrase in this or that verse and essentially ignore the immediate context of Paul’s argument.

  1. Thanks so much for telling everyone not to buy the book. God forbid people decide for themselves what is truth and what is not. I mean with out you guys TELLING people what to believe rather than discovering it for themselves…wow…I always knew you reformed guys were a cult…

  2. An interesting attack albeit a flawed execution: misquoting what someone has said while possessing the ability to listen and relisten to what they actually DID say. John says, “we’re not telling to rush out and buy this book.” They DIDN’T tell “everyone not to buy this book.” These are not equivalent statements.
I understand that misquoting someone and then calling them names is a time-honored tradition (unfortunately) but I think we can rise above that here, can’t we?

  3. thank you pastors for opening the Word of God and not giving your own opinion, that believers are children of promise Galatians 4:28, yes the promise not of reformed pastors but of God Himself

Ayin on What does it mean to be a Protestant? | part 1: Scripture alone

I wonder if you could comment on the fact that "Sola Scriptura" isn't mentioned in the Bible. It seems that Catholics always use that arguement to prove that the Church is also authoritative. What do you say to them?… continue reading »
