Many people today think that a person becomes regenerate after they have faith — that’s wrong. But also, many today think that a person can be regenerate for a time before they come to faith — that’s possible, but extraordinary. The biblical presentation is that one becomes regenerate as the Word is preached to them and the Holy Spirit makes them alive.
