In chapters 8-10 Paul takes on the issue of meat offered to idols, which the Corinthians have asked him about, and which is causing a measure of spiritual harm to some in the church. At the outset of his instruction, Paul reminds them of great foundational Christian truths and admonishes them to live in a manner consistent with them.
