Christians are necessarily engaged in a spiritual battle with Satan. Satan seeks to attack your faith so that you will deny Christ and leave the church. He will continue this battle until the final day when Christ returns. But Satan never engages Christians in a direct frontal assault — his battle plan always involves deception. Even Satan’s “man of lawlessness” (the antichrist) works through deception. Through satanic deception Christians may gradually drift away from the faith believing false doctrine to be true. Christians fight against Satan’s attacks by focusing on the truth of the work and teaching of Jesus Christ. One of the truths of Jesus’ work is that He will destroy Satan and his antichrist on the final day.
