How do I use this site?

Browse through material or listen to an audio recording by clicking on “LISTEN BY CLICKING HERE.” (Certain PC browsers allow saving the recording to a computer by clicking the mouse’s right button and selecting “Save Target As…” while other browsers allow saving recordings in other ways; see your browser’s instructions for further details.) Listen to material as a stream, download it through the site, or subscribe to it as a podcast or as a blog through your preferred pod-catchers and blog readers/aggregators.

Curriculum can be found on the right-hand side of the start page, under the heading “Curriculum.” Click on a curriculum series for a printable booklet and a series of talks; listen to the talks by clicking on “LISTEN BY CLICKING HERE.”

This site displays the most recent material at the top of the start page (sometimes called the main or home page). Older posts can be found at the bottom of the page; pages displaying older content by clicking on “Previous Posts.” One can always get back to the start page by clicking “Home” at the top of the page. Click on the title of an entry or the on “more…” (if displayed) to see the full entry.

Find material in various ways. Click on one of the categories listed under “Categories” on the right side of the start page to find lists of similar material, likewise with the most recent at the top. Browse through the archives, by clicking “Archives” at the top of the start page for material listed by month or search the entire site in the search box. Click on one of the pages listed under “Featured Content” at the right of the start page for a list of featured material. One can also leave comments, which are publicly posted depending upon their nature, the administrator’s judgment, and site parameters and subscribe to comments as a separate feed.

The site is a bit different than typical websites because it is a blog, designed to distribute material as a posts and podcasts. Blogs are web logs, or web journals, and so by their nature are text and content dense. The site is designed to stream content, rather than display complicated graphics. The site employs various Web 2.0 technologies (tagging, etc.). Standards are as simple and open as possible. Details such as whether a new window opens when one clicks on an audio file, depend upon the users’ software, settings, and preferences.
