God commands His people to gather in His church. There He nourishes them with preaching and sacraments and the care of the officers. One’s membership in a church is a profession before both God and humanity that a particular church’s confession of faith is the most biblical expression of His Word. According to this scripture, biblical belief always shows itself in church membership, as those who believe become members of true churches.
