The Communion of Saints refers to the union Christains have with Christ and is that which they share with Christains all over the world. But in any particular church of which you are a part you have more of a pracitical duty to those within it. This practical duty is service to one another. But the idea of service stands in stark contrast to other churches that present themselves as consumer products.
