Mark 16:1-8 | Fear and Faith

The Gospel of Mark ends in chapter 16 v.8. The rest of the verses you find in chapter 16 in the English translations are added to the original eight verses. It makes sense that scribes added to the original because it ends with the women who found the empty tomb running in fear. But the original is correct; the Gospel ends with the women fearing. But their fear turns into faith through the resurrected Christ. Thus in this sermon we learn how faith overcomes fear through the risen Christ.
